Idrac module on 2950 not working in firefox

Server model: PowerEdge 2950

I was given a server to play with by work since we're replacing our servers.
As you can see I've updated the firmware already but it still doesn't work in Firefox. However it works fine in IE11. It "should" work in FF since the client is java based AFAIK. I get a **"Error during XSLT transformation: An unknown error has occurred ()".** As soon as I click on the console tab. Has anyone experienced this?

R730XD H730P - F/W in in Fault State

When booting up, I get the following message from the PERC Controller:

F/W is in Fault State - MFI Register State 0xF0010000

Adapter at Baseport is not responding
No Adapter

We use a bunch of SSD's.
Any ideas?

Win2k12 R2 on R610

Win2k12 R2 is not listed in supported OS list (OS Driver pack 6.4.0.17). I created SUU with Dell Repository Manager 2.0.0.187 to install latest Driver Pack.

I get "catlog file not found" errors when i try to upgrade OS Pack. Please help.

I am able to upgrade all the firmware on the R710 to the latest release from the SUU DVD except for the Dell OS drivers pack from 6.2.0.9 to 14.10.00. I receive "update failure: secure copy failure - The secure copy function has failed. How do I upgrade this?

LC is 1.6.5.12

I feel like I'm going to get a painfully obvious answer here, but how do I activate more ports for a blade server in a VRTX chassis?

Both my blades have 2 of 4 ports active. If i go into port config in the I/O module GUI, the other two ports show "down", but there are no options to bring them up.

This makes me think that each blade server would have a setting for how many of the internal NIC ports it uses, but I can't find such a setting anywhere in chassis management GUI.

What am I missing?

When i try to upgrade servers, OME shows 'Package(s) unavailable'.

The packages are in the good location (on the same LAN) (i can acces through browser).

Example : The result of the upgrade task is "Copied 2 of 3 packages" and details :

Package(s) copied \\serveur\DELL\Repository\FOLDER02706152M/1/ESM_Firmware_3F4WV_WN64_1.66.65_A00.EXE

\\serveur\DELL\Repository\FOLDER02586642M/1/Network_Firmware_5GT3N_WN64_16.0.24_A00.EXE

Package(s) unavailable \\serveur\DELL\Repository\FOLDER02445161M/1/Network_Firmware_NF92Y_WN64_7.10.18.EXE

but this package exist in this path...

The proxy parameters (even the are not used) are well parameted.

idrac7 failed to update firmware, console access doesn't work

After updating to the latest firmware the idrac7 fails to initialize. Our server can still boot into the OS but the idrac is unresponsive.

The error during the setup (pressing <F2> to enter setup) is this:

SWC0700: iDRAC is not ready. the configuration values cannot be accessed. 1.30.30.27

Following Dell's support document did not help (it just suggests letting the aux power drain)

Some have gotten console access and have the idrac tftp a firmware update from a local server but I am unable to get console access at all.

Hello.

I've got an R515 with (12) 3TB drives, bios 2.21. I have added an LSI 9300-8e HBA to control an external storage device holding (32) 4TB SAS drives.

The problem I have is that the bios count on bootup shows only 24 devices. However, if you jump into the LSI bios, it will show all 32 external drives. Also, the storage device connected to a "had-built" supermicro server with an Intel motherboard will show all (32) drives.

Is there a cap on the number of drives the R515/bios will show/count/use? The controller is a 6GB sata/12GB sas HBA.

I have 4 servers DELL PowerEdge R710 with CentOS 7, iDRAC and Openmanage Server Administrator 7.4.1

On the 1 and 2 server iDRAC shows me, than storage battery state is OK, but OMSA shows "Battery on Controller PERC 6/i Integrated: State Failed"

R710 Memory Upgrade Issues.

I have a R710 with the following memory configuration: 6 x 16GB & 12 x 8 GB. Running in memory optimized mode. All slots are in use.

A1 - A3 & B1 - B3 have the 16GB modules.

A4 - A9 & B4 - B9 have the 8GB modules.

Under this configuration the amount of system memory is 192GB.

I purchased 6 more 16GB modules that are an exact match for the 16GB modules I am currently running. I tried adding them in the following order.

A1 - A6 & B1 - B6 have the 16GB modules.

A7 - A9 & B7 - B9 have the 8GB modules.

In this configuration, the server reports it has 200GB of RAM.

Thoughts?

How to change DRAC user's password?

It says "To configure a user, click on the User ID number." but

When I open the "User Authentication" page in DRAC 8, I see the User IDs not clickable, they're not a link?

How can I change DRAC user's password?

The readme for the nautilus fw upgrade suggests a fw is available. However I am used to doing all from within the OS. Is there no windows utility?

DELL R710 no POST after BIOS update

Hi All,

need some help here. I updated the BIOS of my Dell R710 server from 6.3 to 6.4 and it indicated that it was successful and asked for a reboot which I did. after the reboot there is no POST or any display on the monitor. I can get into the server via IDARC and it shows no signal as well. I have tried to clear up NVRAM with no luck. any help is appriciated

Does the Type II server have SATA II or SATA III interface? Or is it just fed through a SCSI card/port/adapter? I don't know anything about purchasing SCSI drives.
