We have several PowerEdge models R510, R610, R710, R520 that are ESXi 5.5 hosts.
Is the OpenManage VIB install a requirement for monitoring these servers' hardware through OME? Also, what we want to accomplish is monitoring of the hardware on these servers and email alerting (through SMTP server) when something is wrong (RAID batt bad, drive failure, etc.). Is this possible with OME?
