I tried to update the iDRAC6 firmware on an R610 using the "firmimg.d6" file using the "racadm" command.
The problem is that it is in a state of " a firmware update is currently in progress" and there seems to be no way to stop it and restart the upgrade. It also says that "system services require an update" at startup.
I have done all of the power shut down, and bleed out the remaining power and then using the Ctl-E during the POST process. And then trying the resets. But it will not let me do anything to stop the update.
And it will not save any of the changes to the iDRAC6 that I try to make.
HELP! I would like to get this fixed as this is an older but a great server.
