Hello. I suppose I've to face a critical failure. All started with Server Admin Event:
Severity: Critical, Category: Storage, MessageID: PDR64, Message: An unrecoverable disk media error occurred on Physical Disk 0:0:0 on Controller 0 at Connector 0
After two days:
Severity: Critical, Category: Storage, MessageID: PDR64, Message: An unrecoverable disk media error occurred on Physical Disk 0:0:1 on Controller 0 at Connector 0.
OMSA currently shows: PERC H200 / Connector 0 (RAID) / Enclosure (Backplane) / Phisycal disks: both Non-Critical but both Failure Predicted. Virtual Disks: Reconstructing.
HDD are Dell original SAS. I take for granted I need to replace both and configure new array etc.
No direct replacement available, so I'd fit SATA http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?sku=400-21924&c=it&l=it&cs=itbsdt1, and restore from win backup.
Two questions: OMSA scenario would't allow any hope for alternatives, but both disks at a time looks quite unusual to me. Second: need to be 100% sure new SATA HDDs are OK to the purpose.
Thanks.
