Server 2012 can't see sas drive to install to.

Hi all,

I'm having a big issue i can't seem to find many details on, I've just bought a server it's a Dell Poweredge 1950 iii twin xeon L5420 with 16GB ram i've got a single 73GB sas drive and trying to install windows server 2012 to it.

When the computer boots the raid card Perc 6/i i believe, detects it correctly. but when i boot the cd to install windows doesn't see the disc i've been on the dell website and downloaded lots of different drivers and tried to install them on the disc select screen of the server install, but it still fails to see the disc.

The disc is a Seagate Cheetah 15k.5 ST373455SS

I'm really beginning to lose my patience with it now and would be very grateful if someone could help me out or point me to the correct driver to get it up and running.
