Having issues with a Poweredge R300 server, it came from a working environment but has suddenly stopped working with a E1410 CPU 1 IERR, I have so far tried the following:
RAM re-seat
Different CPU (X3363 originally and also tried X5355)
Tried without PCI-E cards
Tried without the Riser Cards.
Tried another Motherboard pulled from a working R300.
The only other thing I can think it a faulty PSU, does anyone have anymore ideas before I go down that route?

I have an old PE2900 with a Perc 6/i that tomorrow morning I found with the message:
Foreign configuration(s) found on adapter. Press any key to continue, or ’C’ to load the configuration utility or ’F’ to import foreign configuration(s) and continue.
There are offline or missing virtual drives with preserved cache. Please check the cables and ensure that all drives are present. Press any key to enter the configuration utility.
I've attached the screen shots of the VD Mgmt, PD Mgmt and Foreign view from the Configuration Utility.
It seems that the global hot spare has failed and I need to choose the CLEAR option but since I'm not a RAID expert I want to be sure to not choose the wrong procedure.
Moreover we found that there is a problem with the backup so it is very important to put online the server and perform a fll backup as soon as possible.

This is running Windows 7 Ultimate. I just installed Win 7 and ran Windows Update, it downloaded and installed those updates, then said needed to do additional updates and it downloaded and installed those without any problem. Rebooted, and now when booting up, I get the Dell Splash Screen, and it goes through boot like it going to Windows, but doesn't get to windows. No windows splash screen etc and just reboots itself.
When it reboots, I hit F11 for boot manager, trying to get it to boot to DVD thinking might have a bad Windows Update. It says entering Boot Manager, but then just reboots. It does exact same thing if I try and go to Bios Setup.

We have a PowerEdge M520 with one E5-2470v2 and four memory module 32 GB (P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK03). Now we are buying an additional processor kit so we would buy four 32 GB modules for the additional processor.
Our Dell reseller has 32 GB modules P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK04. It differs for the last digit, the specifications are the same.
Someone could help us to understand if that memory is compatible with our system or if we have to buy exactly the P/N: M386B4G70DM0-YK03?

Are Dell 13th Gen servers NUMA-capable?
If so would changing a BIOS profile to Performance change that?
This is regarding a Dell PowerEdge model R710 that has two 870 watt power supplies.
Upon replacement of a failed power supply, the LifeCycle controller reported there were different versions of power supply firmware. Upon the restarting this computer, it's lifecycle controller listed a message to correct this.
This LIfeCycle report is correct. I have looked in many places for firmware updates for 870 watt power supplies, and spent far too much time on this simple task.
Where can I get Dell firmware updates for Dell 870 watt power supplies for Dell R710 servers?

Dell provides updates for other models of power supplies used in R710s. For example, at the web page www.dell.com/.../en
Firmware updates are listed for 570 watt and 1100 watt power supplies at Dell's web site. I tried to install these updates though. The update did not start as there are 870 watt power supplies in this R710, as expected.

Where are other updates for these R710 870 watt power supplies?
All other software and firmware is current, as of 12/19/2014, for this server. LifeCycle version 14.12.200.61 was used (LCDRPCK_WIN_14.12.200.61) and SUU 14.14.200.69.

We have a Poweredge T110 Percs100.
Raid 5 with 3 drives.
A single drive failed so we replaced it.
When attempting a rebuild it gets to 52% and fails.
Any suggestions?
Should we add an extra drive in the 4th slot and try again?

I have two 2162ds kvm switches. I am able to connect to each switch, and see the servers. When I click on a server, it does whatever it does with java, and I answer all the questions. After answering the last question about running the program, I receive the following error: network connect error. As far as I know the firmware is up to date. I just installed the newest firmware I could find today.
Note: before installing the newer firmware, I was also seeing this same error. The error occurs in both Internet Explorer, and Firefox. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a T320 Server with a 350W non-redundant power supply but now I get a boot up error that the supply is not enough anymore. So is there a non-redundant power supply greater than 350W for the T320 available and what is the part number? I saw you cannot swap to redundant power supplies. What are my options?

Today I tried to upgrade the RAM of a T310 server (one X3440 processor) using 4x8Gb memory modules
The mainboard has 6 slots in a row. (The 1st and the 4th slot have white clips).
So, I've installed 2 dimms on the 1st and 2nd slot, and the other 2 ones on the 4th and 5th slot (starting from the top)
When i boot up the server, the lcd on the front, shows the following message "Temp: unavailable" (I think there's more on that message but it stucks there), the fan works on 100% and nothing happens. No screen, no "beeps", no leds on keyboard or mouse, nothing.
I've upgrade BIOS to 1.11.0 but the problem stil remains.

We recently purchased a large number of R730 servers with DRAC8s in them. I am looking for a way to config them all from one place instead of having to login to each one individually. They are all on the network but I would like to configure alerts on all of them with the same settings as an example. They will also all have the same SNMP settings. I found the DRACT tool but it doesn't seem to have the ability to configure alerts etc, or I haven't found it. Isn't there one tool I can give a list of ip addresses for the DRACs and make one change and it will update all of the DRACs with the new setting?
I just purchased PowerEdge T20 with Intel Xeon cpu. Manual for this machine states it is IPMI 2.0 compliant.
I am really struggling to find a way to enable IPMI 2.0 on this machine. I can see Intel AMT that works fine (I can VNC in, use SOL, power manage etc.).
What I really need is ability to use ipmitool (lanplus) out-of-band to power on and off the machine and change the boot order.
Does anyone know how to get that going ?

I recently "inherited" an R710 server and am having trouble getting the idrac to display the hardware inventory information, the only information I get is for the PSUs, nothing else. The server had not been updated in a while, so I updated the various hardware firmwares thinking that would help, but still no luck.
BIOS: 6.4.0
DRAC FW: 2.80
Lifecycle FW: 1.7.5.4
CSIOR is enabled and I do see the "Collecting Inventory" message during boot.
However, there is still no information in Inventory. No Ram, CPU, PERC6, etc...
Any ideas as to what to try next?

In Firefox version 39, some OMSA web site would give this error message:
An error occurred during a connection to <server>:1311. SSL received a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in Server Key Exchange handshake message. (Error code: ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key)
I suppose I need to reinstall new version of OMSA, or is it? I haven't checked yet. Does new version exist yet? And is there some "fast and dirty" workaround because it would take me quite some time to update all my OMSA.
